إجتماع للمجلس العالمي للجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم في مدينة فانكوفر ورفع الستار عن تمثال المغترب في مدينة فيكتوريا الكندية.
إنعقد المجلس العالمي للجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم في دورته العادية في مدينة فانكوفر على مدى يومين الجمعة والسبت 12 و13 حزيران 2009 برئاسة الرئيس العالمي إيلي حاكمه وممثلين عن القارات الإغترابية للتداول بنشاطاته ومتابعة تنفيذ مقررات الإجتماعات السابقة، وأصدر في نهاية أعماله المقررات التالية :

نظمت فروع الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم إحتفالاً في الذكرى الـ125 لولادة جبران خليل جبران في كندا، وقد شهدت مدينة فانكوفر في مقاطعة بريتيش كولومبيا تظاهرة فنية وثقافية فريدة حيث تضمن البرنامج ندوة في مركز الرابطة الفرنسية “Alliance Française” ألقى خلالها الشاعر هنري زغيب، الذي حضر خصيصاً من لبنان محاضرة بعنوان "جبران اللبناني العالمي" “Gibran Le Libanais Universel” تخللها معرض صور لرسوم جبران وعرضاً لفيلم وثائقي عنه وعن متحف جبران في بشري، أعقبها حفل كوكتيل.

Please note that the "Concert Islamo-Chretien" organised by the “World Lebanese Cultural Union”, The Lebanese Businessmen Association in France, (HALFA)”, and “L’Amicale de Notre Dame de Jamhour des Pères Jésuites” will be broadcasted on the "Télé Lumière" TV on Sunday 12th of July 2009 at 10:00 pm Beirut Time.
Le concert "Islamo-Chretien" organisé par "l'Union Libanaise Culturelle Mondiale", "l'association des Hommes d'affaires Libano-Français" (HALFA) et “l’Amicale de Notre Dame de Jamhour des Pères Jésuites”, sera diffusé en intégral sur télé lumière le dimanche 12 Juillet à 22 h, heure de Beyrouth.

لإعطاء المغتربين حقهم بالجنسية والإقتراع
بدعوة من الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم – تورونتو أقيم حفل إستقبال في قاعة القديس جاورجيوس لتكريم الأستاذ الياس كسَّاب لمناسبة إنتخابه رئيساً قارياً للجامعة في أمريكا الشمالية، أيضاً لمناسبة صدور كتابه "سنابل السنين".
حضر الحفل حشدٌ كبيرٌ من أبناء وشخصيات الجالية يتقدمهم النائب عن حزب الليبيرال من أصل لبناني الأستاذ خليل رمّال، والأستاذ جورج خوري المرشح عن حزب المحافظين، الأب جورج فرح كاهن رعية الروم الكاثوليك، والأب عمانوئيل نخلة رئيس دير سيدة لبنان للرهبنة الأنطونية وكاهن رعيتها المارونية، رؤساء جمعيات وأندية وحشدٌ من الأدباء والشعراء اللبنانيين، بالإضافة إلى أعضاء الجامعة من فرعي تورونتو وميسوساغا.
